Question- How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?"
Engaging with audiences-My target audience is people who enjoy watching horror films or those who like the felling of an adrenaline rush or the felling of suspense. My film will engage with the target audience because it has all the feelings the audience enjoys. The suspense is added when the girl wakes up from the dream and the horror and feeling gets cut off and left on a cliff hanger. The adrenaline rush is curated in the film when the girl is having the nightmare and is having all the bad experiences. This type of film category is specifically chosen and based on the target audience to get the best traction and engagement as possible.
How is it distributed- This film opening is going to be distributed just as any other media text would. In my aice media class, I have done much research in the past about how to correctly distribute a film as a media text and how to figure out the perfect target audience for your specific type of film. The way I would distribute this is first I would create a trailer for the film opening and post onto social media accounts for the film. After I would create other post other from the trailer onto social media accounts. Lastly I would collaborate with well known social media stars and high class brands to post about or promote my film. These types of distributions have all been learned in my class and I am taking that information and making it become real.
EX) Gossip girl is a popular show on Netflix and was created and produces many years ago. Still as of today there is a up and running instagram page for the show and creates traction and a engagement for their fans.
This is a close up of how much traction is truly going on. This instagram page is still keeping up with post, has ,any followers, and shows in the bio where you can watch and if it is a film or movie. This account adds a lot of engagement to the audience or new viewers.
